Most people picture Sudoku as 9×9. For a beginner that is daunting; for a long-time player it is familiar. Everydoku starts with 4×4 and its 2×2 boxes, moves through 6×6 and 9×9, and goes up to 12×12 and 16×16, where digits run up to A–G. The rule never changes, but the way you look at the board does.
What makes it different
- Only checked boards. Every board was generated in advance and verified by computer to have a single solution and to need the techniques of its level. 5,000 boards per size and level.
- Hints that explain. Instead of just filling a cell, a hint first shows why the answer is what it is.
- Daily puzzle and streaks. One board a day, and a count of how many days in a row you solved it.
- Race a friend on the same board. Send a solved board as one link; your friend plays the same board against your time.
- No sign-in, no server. Records and settings stay on your device. The apps work offline. The website only gathers visit statistics with Google Analytics (privacy policy).
- Available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish, with light and dark themes.
