Privacy policy

Effective: October 3, 2026

Everydoku (“the service”) has no sign-up or sign-in, and its operator does not collect or store personal information such as your name or contact details on any server. The website uses Google Analytics for usage statistics (section 4). This policy explains what information the service keeps and where. It covers the website everydoku.com and the Everydoku apps for Android and iOS.

1. Personal information we collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number or precise location. The service has no accounts and no server that receives game data. Website usage statistics are gathered with Google Analytics (section 4), and we only see aggregated reports that do not identify you.

2. Information kept only on your device

To let you resume games and see your records, the following is stored only on your device (in the browser’s local storage on the web, and in the app’s private storage in the apps). It is never sent to us or anyone else.

• Progress on boards in play (digits, notes, time taken, hints used)
• Best times per board, daily puzzle times and streaks
• Settings (theme, digit colors, vibration, sound effects and so on)

This data is deleted when you clear the site data in your browser or uninstall the app. It is kept until you delete it.

3. Share links

When you tap “Challenge a friend” or “Share this board”, a link is created that contains the board’s size, level and number, and your time and hint count. It is sent only through the app you choose (a messenger, for example). We do not receive or store these links, and they contain no personal information such as names or contact details.

4. Usage statistics

To improve and extend the website, we collect usage data with Google Analytics 4. The apps do not include any analytics yet.

• What is collected: pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate region (country and city), and in-game activity (whether a board was started or finished, its size and level, time taken, hints used, daily streak length, and whether sharing was used)
• What is not collected: names, contact details, board numbers, share codes or the digits you enter
• How: Google Analytics cookies (such as _ga) and requests to Google’s servers. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are measured without cookies.
• Purpose: understanding how many people visit and which features they use, so we can improve the service
• Retention: kept in Google Analytics for 14 months, then deleted automatically
• Opting out: block cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The game works the same either way.

5. Third-party services

• Web hosting (Google Firebase Hosting): while serving the website, the hosting provider may process access logs (IP address, browser type, time of request and similar) for security and operation. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.
• Fonts (Google Fonts): on the web, font files for Korean, Japanese and Chinese characters may be downloaded from Google’s font servers, which may process your IP address and similar connection data.
• Advertising: the service does not currently show ads. If we start showing ads through Google AdSense (web) or Google AdMob (apps), Google and its partners may use cookies or advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. We will update this policy and its effective date when that happens. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings.

Because we hold no personal information such as names or contact details, we have none to provide to these providers. The usage data gathered by Google Analytics is described in section 4.

6. Children

The service is suitable for all ages and does not collect names or contact details from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Because we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. You can remove the game data on your device at any time by clearing the site data or uninstalling the app, and you can opt out of usage statistics as described in section 4.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
